Sharon Way-Howard is a life-long resident of the south shore of Long Island, who grew up in Bay Shore and Sayville, currently working from her home studio in East Islip, NY. Throughout her life, Sharon has been drawn to the beauty of the waterfront and the nature that lies therein. Growing up in her parents' boatyard in Islip, fishing, boating & birding with her dad, numerous travels to the naturally beautiful areas of the U.S. - all of these have influenced Sharon's perspectives and outlook on her art. Currently, for her artistic growth, Sharon enjoys exploring a wide variety of media, letting the subject suggest the medium to work in.
"I am an artist. It is my life. It's how I see everything. Drawing and painting is not something I do, But rather, it is what makes me, me. My art is not an escape. It is my home, where I belong. My art is a life-long adventure, helped along by many special people. If you enjoy what I create we will enjoy beauty together. We will communicate, without words, and you will know me".
